About the Author
Kimberly Burns grew up in Colorado, hearing stories about the colorful characters of the Old West. Her award winning novels and short stories blend legends of the Old West with historical research. She draws inspiration from the lives of real women—gals who met challenges with determination and grit and lived life on their own terms.
She enjoys speaking to readers, writers, and history buffs. Kimberly has appeared on radio shows and podcasts, guest hosted blogs, and conducted conference workshops and panel discussions. She has degrees from the University of Colorado and the University of Hartford. She is a member of the Historical Novel Society, Western Writers of America and Women Writing the West.
Kimberly lives with her husband in northern Virginia and Florida.
